The Lenten season is a time when many churches and people of faith come together to help others in need and share their Haiti Love. This includes two Overture Mission Ambassadors in the Midwest who are using the occasion to raise money to support vulnerable children in southern Haiti, including 25 special needs children who were rescued in the summer of 2023.
The Minnesota Ambassador team have found a creative way to raise money for Overture. This team has been supporting our friends in Haiti since 2008. When they learned about a group of 25 special needs children who we helped rescue late last spring, they decided to put their artistic talents to use by hand-designing unique greeting cards to sell online. All proceeds are going directly to the support the care of these children. Click here to support MN Fundraiser
Shepherd Of The Hills has been helping to support our friends in Haiti since 2004. These generous Midwesterners are showing their Haiti Love this Lent by setting a goal for their church to raise $20,000 to support the education and nutrition programs in support of the children we serve, including the children currently in our crisis care center. In the heart of southern Haiti where Overture International serves, a transformative initiative is taking root, changing the trajectory of the lives of vulnerable children in the region, especially those living in orphanages or alone on the streets.
Read this month's blog post and learn how Overture is supporting IBESR (Haiti's child welfare agency) in their efforts to implement and expand the foster care system in southern Haiti. Overture strongly believes that every child, no matter the situation, deserves to live with a loving family!Â
